COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For those of you who don’t know Aro there is a light side and a dark side to the valley. For those of us on the dark side of the street it’s been a long dark winter. But salvation is nigh. The coming of Spring has brought the first teasing hints that the sun might come again to the Garage.

Draft at the brewery. Darkest brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty stout notes along with citrus and floral hops. Flavor is nice, lightly roasty, hoppy, some citrus. Medium-bodied for the style with an uncharacteristic crispness. Nice and unique.

2016-05-17. Black body small tan head. 3+ Aroma is mild, very lightly dusty malt has very muted earthy hints. 6+ Flavour is moderately malty, dark malt, whispers of dusty roast, very light tang. Smooth average to light bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay, much more mild overall than I expected. 6/3+/6-7/3+/14 On tap at Smith’s, Queenstown, NZ.

On tap at The Local Melbourne, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out licorice upfront, along with coffee and cocoa. Flavour is full-bodied, with notes of coffee, a little cocoa and a touch of licorice. Medium-bodied and smooth on the palate. Decent stuff.

Pretty happy with this all season stout. Getting malty, liquorice, coffee flavours. Appearance good, super dark with glittery head. All round a good stout, pricey beer for just over the pond. $20. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
