COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This has been one of the most challenging Garage brews to date. At its heart was the idea of combining aggressive, high citrus character of American hops with the heat and sweetness of Indochine flavours. Have you ever tried a Vietnamese mango and chili salad? If you havenít you should. It could be life changing. Itís an idea that has been rattling around the Garage consciousness for a while and the Great Australasian Beer Spectapular seemed like a fitting opportunity to give it an outing. It was always going to be a challenging brew to pull off Ė mango, chili, Vietnamese mint and lime juice arenít exactly conventional ingredients. Donít bother checking, they arenít listed in the Reinheitsgebot. Add a lavish addition of Chinook, Centennial, Citra and Amarillo hops, a deadline launch for an international beer festival and take it straight to a 2000 litre batch without any chance for small scale testing and you get what could have been a recipe for spectacular, monumental disaster. The idea of trying to bring all these flavours together in a coherent way given the pressure of time and prospect of public humiliation was, frankly, shit scary.

Great fruity aroma and happily followed with a nice bitterness. Unfortunately didnít get any chilli hit with this. All in all very good

Bottle. Light but very fresh aroma, citrus. And then a taste explosion like some kind of strange fruit juice. It takes a few sips to get used to it, but then it is actually quite nice. Finish is bitter, a tad alcoholic and then the chili kicks in. (At home, 12.02.2015)

Tasted from the can at Fine Wine Delivery Co. A golden brown, almost bronze colour, minimal head in an IPA glass. Not an overly intense nose, subtle hints of malts gives nothing away about this 7.5% beer. An enjoyable, toffee malt flavour on the tongue, but not overpowering. Not a huge amount of sensation on the palate, the finish is relatively short and underwhelming. However, have tried this previously from the bottle and was one of the best beers I have had. Will have to update once I get my hands on a bottle again.

Bought from the Fine Wine Delivery Company in the 650ml bottle. One of my favourites and never disappoints, beautifully balance aromatics and hops, incredible length

Drinking out of 440ml can into glass. A beautiful amber colour with wonderfully visible carbonation. Slightly off white head that sticks around a bit. Delightful aroma, it smells so fresh. Grassy with floral hop notes that blend well together but donít overpower. My lord this tastes good. I can taste a little bit if mango in this, coupled with those wonderful hops makes for a good sweet/bitter power struggle. Thereís a slight Chilli bite to it, not at all hot, but just lingering in the background. Wonderfully balanced.the finish is a little more watery than Iíd have liked, but not too thin. Good carbonation and pleasant aftertaste help round out this fantastic beer.

Can from cellarbrations super store in hami hill. Pours amber with a thick creamy head which quickly disappears. Aroma is fairly subtle with piney, citrus and mango notes. Body is fairly light with low carbonation. Taste is very well balanced. There is subtle mint coming through at the start that's closely followed by bold citrus characters, mango and is nicely rounded with a peppery/spicy bitter finish. Awesome beer!

Copper with a white head. Citrusy, candied fruit hops, caramel malts, slight vinous notes. Medium creamy bitterness. Very tasty.

Bottle at home. Has a clear, dark amber colour and a light beige head. A little spicy aroma with mango, pine, leather and some caramel. The flavour has more fruity hops with pine, citrus, tropical fruits and chilli in the end. Has a silky and slick mouth feel, and a balanced bitterness. An interesting version of a IPA with a nice chilli touch in the end.

From the can, BB 05/09/15. Pours a hazy amber with a wispy off-white head. Aroma: Grapefruit peel, orange, and mango. Taste is of orange juice, alcohol, citrus pith, and some mild balance from caramel malts. I donít get most of the special ingredients (mint and chilis). The finish is quite lasting and bitter.
