Hapi Daze. Itís a prototype for a possible future session ale, but in this early form at 5.4% ABV itís a little strong to be considered a session beer.

Bottle. Pours clear orange with very nice lasting head. Fruity hops (like tropical, citrus and grapefruit) in the arome. Fresh and nice aroma. Taste is mostly tropical and caramalt with a nice bitterness. More like an APA then a golden ale!!!

I see the style listed here is a Golden Ale / Blonde Ale, which I would consider to be a far more accurate category than the Pale Ale written on the can. In fact more Pilsener than Pale Ale. It is not a particularly good Pale Ale, as the hops (grass, bit of citrus) are lite and fade in and out and have a pilsener-like waft of sulphur. The taste is a pilsener-like bread. OK enough of the negativity, it was quite drinkable, so perhaps just a change of Style written on the can would help.

A 330ml can with a best before date of 30th October 2016 and poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a clear dark golden slightly copper colour with a two finger off white head that doesnít stick around much but left nice stringy lacing. Aromas are strong tropical fruits of mango, pineapple, kiwi, guava, papaya and honeydew melon. Taste has a bitter start with some stone fruit mango followed by a light bready grainy malt. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overall a nice refreshing light beer with interesting tropical notes. However unfortunately the taste doesnít follow the impressive aroma as I prefer less malt character and I think a higher carbonation will go well with the lightness.

Fresh New Zealand hops in the aroma. Has this typical notes of nafta, a bit of passion fruit. There is even more of this in the taste. Very fresh, very refreshing session beer. Not that strong in flavors and aroma. Typical APA but on NZ hops so itís even more interesting.

Orange-coppet with a medium stark white head. Aroma is slightly grassy, with a hint of pineapple. Grass and straw upfront with some slight citrus and stone fruit hop bitterness at the back. Body is pretty thin and crisp, but not watery - a good, light, summet session.

Bottle. Light Golden pour, almost no head. Slightly sour Nose, malty taste with a somewhat sour note, and clear notes of grain. Medium body, soft carbonation.
