COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hapi Daze. Itís a prototype for a possible future session ale, but in this early form at 5.4% ABV itís a little strong to be considered a session beer.

Now at 4.6%. Itís typically fragrant on the nose and robust to the taste. By the standards of this brewery it is not especially adventurous, but a good drinkable hoppy beer. By beer industry standards the name is a delightful pun (hapi is Maori for hops).

Very nice but you need to drink it fairly quickly as the goodness doesnít stand sitting in the glass for too long. The aroma opens strongly with floral, tropical fruit and grapes. The taste is light floral at the front. The middle is like sucking the flesh of a peach stone. Back is light, slightly dry groovy bitterness.

(can) ítis good, lots of hop aromas, grassiness and florals that get even better the longer this sits and warms in the glass. Could go with more malt sweetness. Tends towards a dry finish, and doesnít have a lot of length. But itís a cracking beer for all that, and I should have another, if only Iíd thought it through, and would love to have it on tap to see if they are the same.

Nicely balanced beer with good floral hop notes. Latest batch out of can which is 4.6% alc, so I am guessing ratings could be all over the place depending on the version tried.

Ooh I like that. Fruity and floral on the nose, with Asian tropical fruits, and a slightly coppery tone to the gold. Translucid and with a bubbly head that gets quite dense in the middle. Full of fruits on the flavour, with sweet grapes, passion fruit, feijoa, grapefruits and a grassy hoppiness. Goes down so easy, with a bit of a piney hug, bitterness on the tongue. Super nice.

The head is good, the body golden. It smells hoparomatic. The taste is malty, sweet, hoparomatic. Nice

UPDATED: APR 15, 2014 An excellent session ale. Has the taste of a much stronger brew that leaves you wanting (and mericifully, capable of having) many more. Another winner from the good folks at Garage Project.

Nice hop aroma. On tasting very grassy, a bit floral and a bit earthy. Very unbalanced, maybe a case of too much late or dry hopping. Also seems a bit astringent and a bit salty.
