Hapi Daze. It’s a prototype for a possible future session ale, but in this early form at 5.4% ABV it’s a little strong to be considered a session beer.

Tasted on tap from Cassel’s in Christchurch. Slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head that sunk into a film on top of the body. Smells quite strongly of passionfruit and grapefruit with some light malts coming through. In the mouth it is prickly and gives flavours of tropical fruits followed closely by a blast of hoppy bitterness. More guava, grape and lychee make themselves known in a finish that is long and likeable.

Can 33cl. Medium gelly head. Hazy peach color. Not too carbonated. Aroma is tropical fruit, nettles, melon, green leaves. Taste is some bitter with fruits, citrus peel and a dry after.

Bruk från systemet - doftar inte mycket, näst intill inget. Ljus och grumlig med en fin skumkrona. Väldigt intressant smak, kryddig, söt med en lätt beska, trevlig balans och len. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Det här var en trevlig och välhumlad sak, smaken var fruktig med toner av grapefrukt, äpple och tuggummi. Kroppen var kanske lite tunn men balansen satt på plats i alla fall.

Can from Meny Alna enjoyed at home
Copper hazy, big white head. Smell of citrus, zests, grapefruit, light malts. Moderate sweet, a bit dull flavor after the promising aroma, not all that fruity, a bit flat and watery; moderate to medium bitter, zezty finish

BB 12/12/16. Poured a clear orangey amber colour with a two-finger off-white frothy head that diminished slowly and laced OK as film. Carbonation medium and fine. Aroma of nice quite strong pine and citrus (grapefruit, possibly lemon) hops plus with a hint of underlying sweetness. Taste dominated initially by tangy grapefruit and maybe lemon followed by hints of caramel sweetness; quite a decent bitterness. Light to medium body. Crisp, smooth, refreshing, with a long lingering citric bitterness and with a slightly dry finish. More like an IPA.
