Hapi Daze. It’s a prototype for a possible future session ale, but in this early form at 5.4% ABV it’s a little strong to be considered a session beer.

Tasted on tap from Cassel’s in Christchurch. Slightly hazy golden yellow with a white head that sunk into a film on top of the body. Smells quite strongly of passionfruit and grapefruit with some light malts coming through. In the mouth it is prickly and gives flavours of tropical fruits followed closely by a blast of hoppy bitterness. More guava, grape and lychee make themselves known in a finish that is long and likeable.

April 17, 2015. Can at home, best before december 23, 2015.
Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is orange, pine, sulphur and grass. Taste is light sweet and fruity with quite low bitterness, medium dry bitter finish with fruity and grassy notes. Light bodied, average carbonation. Easy drinkable.

Burk från SB. Tunna toner av citrus, grapefrukt, gräs och tropiska frukter. Vattnig kropp, lätt sötma, lätt beska och smak av metall. Då burken är så vacker blir det en trea!

Can from SB 150502. This can 4.8%abv. Cloudy golden amber with creamy white head. Plenty of citrus, pine apple and passionfruit in the aroma. A bit watery as can be expected but with very nice resin bitterness and some lemon zest. Very good for a light beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Precinct. Fairly tropical and easy going. Super refreshing summer driven beer with plenty of mango and citric zest to follow through. Quaffer. I enjoyed it

Can from systembolaget sweden. Lastning light beigh head. Clowdy solid golden color. Popcorn aroma mixed white fresh hops. Thinn body and no sweetness and a hard a bit astringent bitterness.

Bottle at home. Has an inviting orange color and is quite foggy. Foam settles on top and is creamy with a light beige color. The aroma does not disappoint and is hoppy, fruity and nice. Here are lime, grapefruit , some pine and plenty of New Zealand hops. The same hops are present in the flavor as well with hints of dry hay, grass and more grapefruit. The beer has a surprisingly medium body to be a low ABV beer, and has a smooth mouth feel . The bitterness is, like the rest of the beer, well balanced. The beer is rich and fresh, and is a solid version of a light beer style.

Aroma is hoppy with pineapple, peach and mango up front. Taste is sweeter than I expected, a juicy mango base which kinda surprised me that turned into mid-bitter aftertaste. There’s notes of citrus and grass in here as well, but I think they’ve managed to give this one a quite down to earth style. A little watery maybe, but certainly drinkable.
