Pours cloudy, almost peachy in colour; something like a fruity cocktail. Bizarre, but raise the glass and lots of resin, grapefruit and bright bouncy citrus hop floats up. It’s big, round and surprisingly sweet in the mouth - again, there’s something very surprisingly sweet about this drink, the way it looks, it tastes and the way it feels. It’s like a bright bitter citrusy fruit cocktail. And that’s not a bad thing for a beer.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2013 Draught: Pours quite a murky golden colour and has a big sweet tropical hop hit on the nose. Pineapple and feijoa on the palate which has good length.
Bottle rerate: This thing is bone dry with a great nose and not as syrupy as I got from the taps. Sadly this beer is not widely available as it has the potential to be one of the best beers in the country.

Rigger from Regional wines. Pours a hazy golden colour, with a big fluffy white head. Huge lemon zest pine hops on the nose. Medium, softly carbonated body. Grapefruit bitterness and lovely finish. A joy.

Aroma: Bright citrus, floral and pine, and ruby grapefruit.
Flavor: Bright tangy grapefruit with light touch of rind. Earthy malt.
Comments: Includes whole cone Sauvin hops. To rephrase the above: Earthy malt stares skyward, blinded by the flash of ruby grapefruit fireworks. Still, I like the intensity. Had this a 2nd time at another place where it had likely been on tap for a while--it showed medium bitter orange flavor that turned into sweet orange and seemed a bit more balanced.

A smelly brute of a pint with a definite greenish tinge to the head. Full-on aromas of grapefruit and lemon and enormously bitter in the mouth. Too much for some in the party I was drinking with, but a pint I enjoyed from first to last.

Tap at Beervana. You can definitely smell the Rakau and NS hops. Work quite well together. Citrus bomb in the taste with slight grapefruit throughout. Very nice, a little unbalanced but I like heavy hop hitters

Tap at HashigoZake - Amazing aroma, huge hops, and a slow building bitterness, would have loved a pint or two but volume was limited. Great beer. 3/24
