BOTTLE. Brown to kole beer pour with minimal off white head.. As it says, smoke on the nose with some dark roasted malts.. Smokey bacon is in the mouth, good dark roasted mal, dark chocolate bitterness.. Thick sticky finish.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Another great beer from GP. Big rich glass stainer that is like syrup in a glass. The smokiness is evident but well integrated.

Pours dark copper with a quickly fading head. Nose shows soft smoke, caramel, bready malt, and melanoidin notes. Similar falvorus; rich, malty, smokey. Lots of bready malt. Some fudge notes too along with sultanas.

Rated on June 7th, 2014. Lighter brown, small head. Aroma is nicely sticky, malt candy. Sort of like a barleywine, a small barleywine. It is supposed to be a dunkel... Taste is not that sweet but still. Hops are more subdued, caramel sweetness lingers. Dry mouthfeel. Does not feel like a dunkel at all. Overall interesting but a little too sweet for my taste.

Light smoke nose. Sweetish, light body. A hint of fireplace smoke. A bit drab but also enticing in a comely way. Soft, dryish finish.

Med brown color, with russet tinges. The nose is very sweet, too sweet malt character, with a touch of glazed honey ham. The mouth is too sweet, but shows nice depth of tootie rolls, cherries, brandy with sweet chocolatiness. A touch cloying. Great depth, but the sweetness is highly distracting from the over all beer.

Can thanks to Big Dave. It pours clear dark amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, toast, cocoa, charred wood, light smoke and grapefruit. The taste is wood, resin, caramel, smoke, citrus peel, toast, toffee, date and raisin with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a whole lot to it. Alreeeet.

Can at Craft Clapham, during Craft 100, big thanks to Wingmanwillis aka Big Dave, 03/04/14. Almost clear dark amber with a good sized light beige head. Nose is bitter roast tones, biscuit, light cocoa, dark toffee, smoke. Taste comprises rich caramel, smoke, biscuit, camp fire cessation. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying smoke laced close. Ok smoked offering.

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Cask. Off Piste Can, thanks to Big Dave. Clear deep dark amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy, light fine carbonation. Tangy dark fruits and oxidised tasting caramel. Light finish. Okay.

I took this Wellingtonian beer to celebrate Canterbury Rugby 6th straight provincial cup title, this time winning against Wellington in the final. Little aroma, except for a sweet, rather skunky lager whiff over a roasted malt base. Nice "Dunkel" appearance, like green timber with very creamy head. Flavour of roasted malts and a char bitterness, plus a herbal, metallic bitterness on top. I could not get any smokiness. This felt more like a Dunkel. The mirrors turned out to be as lackluster as the Lions.
