3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6428) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 25, 2007
Good, irregularily build yellowish head over well-carbonated straw-golden beer. Grain, CO², mown grass and young hard cheese as jonge Gouda. Sharpish grassy taste, followed by sweet, lightly toasted malts. Fairly dry finish. Light to medium bodied, grist slickness. Decent if nothing more Kölsch, seemingly slightly sturdier than most. Sweet but not too sweet. Txs, SebS.

6 ratings what the hell. Had this a Delirium Tremens Cafe in Brussels and i didn’t see it in Cologne when I was there a couple years earlier. Mediocre klosh pretty much sums it up. Page 183 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide only 397 out 500 Classic Brews to go.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2007
Bottle. Golden colour with a large white head. Sweet grain aroma. Sweet and lightly malty flavour. Not much else going on. Light bodied and pretty highly carbonated. OK.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - OCT 29, 2006
(bottle, with thanks to DerDoppelbock) Clear, golden colour with a creamy white foam. Rather dense, light-sweet grainy aroma. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, malty taste with a restrained fruitiness, fizzy palate; quite slim and short, slightly bitter finish. Mediocre Kölsch.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 leaparsons (6082) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2005
Bottle. Gold with a small off-white head. Aromas are grain and pepper with a thin caramel base. Flavours are light malts with pepper and and a prickly carbonated palate. Some caramel is present but not much else. Quite dry on the finish. Drinkable.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DanielBrown (2583) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2003
Bottle. Less impressive than most kolsch beers that I've tried. This was very fizzy, with small bubbles popping on your tongue throughout the tasting. This has a tinge of sweetness, and a slight malty flavour on the back of your tongue; but otherwise there is little flavour and this is noether light nor smooth. Good lacing, but that aside, it's average.

Golden coloured. Medium sweet, softly vanillaish, medium bitter, fresh.

Fresh, fruity and creamy. Apparently the pioneering example, and it is pretty good.
