COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Absolutely smashing IPA with loads of American hops and made with a typical American ale yeast. You will maybe be amazed at the equal balance between hop and malt, wrestling to see who wins. Absent from this double is that very grassy, in-your-face hoppiness that makes some doubles difficult to quaf. Truly a comfortable and remarkable face adjuster.

On draft at brewpub. Wow. This is by far the best thing available at GAH. Nice looking pour with an excellent head and lacing. Served in a smaller rounded glass which is a good thing because this one is pretty strong.

Sampled at American Craft Beer Fest 2010. Pours a hazy, amber color. Citrusy and earthy hops for the aroma. Flavor about the same with some malt. A pretty good beer.

the brewer brought a few growlers of this to an event yesterday and it blew away an entire crowd of beer enthusiasts. aroma is so good you don’t even want to drink it. this beer has it all, great texture, sweet maltiness, powerful alcohol, and of course a superb hoppiness. maybe one flavor is a little misplaced, but this is the best beer in Massachusetts, and I don’t know anyone who has tried it that doesn’t agree

Like all of the Gardner beers, this beer had a very nice head. The lace was impressive, leaving a blanket on the glass. Beautiful light amber color and suitably hazy. Spicy hop smell (like pepper); no notable hop. I can detect some warming alcohol, but it is not over-the-top. Solid body with an appropriate level of carbonation. Great pine and grapefruit/citrus hop flavors. This is not an extreme DIPA, but it fulfills all of the expectations for the style. Worth seeking out.
