Commercial Description:
Loaded with English Hops and using a traditional English IPA recipe, this beer will happily lift your face as your palate explores its bitter, yet smooth effect. Facelift’s up front bitterness gives way to a mellow depth of flavor that will have you requesting another pint.

Cask at GBBF ’07. Copper colour. Sweet hop aroma with blackberry and other fruits. Nettle and grass taste with low bitterness. Very good.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 8 Aug) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with brief off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with pine needles, grapefruit and orange peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit and pine needles. Lovely hop character. A bit too sweet, but overall a very nice beer.

Cask at GBBF08. Caramelly aroma. Almost clear amber colour. The flavour starts with a good clean bitterness. Turns more caramelly and then finishes with a cleansing bitterness.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - GBBF 2007. A golden coloured beer with some off-white bubbles for a head. The aroma is nicely hoppy with citrus fruits, mostly oranges. A really inviting nose. The taste is also nicely hoppy with good malts making the body good and the taste sbalanced. A very good example of an IPA.

Cask gravity at GBBF 07. Leafy hop aroma, good grapefruit. Bit too much tea perhaps in the mouth. Lovely, maybe a tad too leafy on the balance, but yeah it’s enjoyable.
