Svesse (1811), Hässelby, Sweden Sep 8, 2007 (Cask at GBBF, London, 8 Aug) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with brief off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with pine needles, grapefruit and orange peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit and pine needles. Lovely hop character. A bit too sweet, but overall a very nice beer. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 9, 2008 Cask at GBBF08. Caramelly aroma. Almost clear amber colour. The flavour starts with a good clean bitterness. Turns more caramelly and then finishes with a cleansing bitterness. maeib (4012), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Aug 11, 2007 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - GBBF 2007. A golden coloured beer with some off-white bubbles for a head. The aroma is nicely hoppy with citrus fruits, mostly oranges. A really inviting nose. The taste is also nicely hoppy with good malts making the body good and the taste sbalanced. A very good example of an IPA. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 8, 2007 Cask gravity at GBBF 07. Leafy hop aroma, good grapefruit. Bit too much tea perhaps in the mouth. Lovely, maybe a tad too leafy on the balance, but yeah it’s enjoyable.
