Bottle (330 ml). Cloudy amber/golden with a small persistent white head and little lacing. Aroma is fruity with caramel, sugar, oxidation notes and herbal notes. Taste is of caramel, fruits, herbs and sticky sugar finish. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. The new batch seems better than the last one considering the reviews. It’s bland, but not offensive.

Quack-Duck (7779) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 22, 2012
bottle from Village de la Bičre Strasbourg. Cloudy amber golden, no head to speak of. Arom aof quince, very shy. Robust malty base with lots of quince. Not sweet, the character of quince is very well retained - as is the beery character. It doesn’t look promising, but the flavour is really good. Very nice!

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy amber-orange beer with medium creamy head. Nose is fruity and dry like. Aroma is dry, fruity, astringent, light acidity, less complex, very boring.

750mL thanks to Simon at Cave a Bulles. Pours cloudy light orange with a diminishing quick head. Sugary, red apple oxidized nose with acetaldehyde. No lace. Taste is odd and tangy with water and cantaloupe and honeydew melon. No stickiness. No hop character. Tangy, thin, fruit juicy palate. Decent fruit juice tanginess. How about using some hops?

Tasting at Papsř’s
Hazy deep blond color. The aroma of this beer at least is a bit fruity and honeyish. It has a reasonable body structure, without real malt qualities but with an average sweetness; in the end, signature of the brewery, there is light yeast; also the alcohol, although low, manages to show up; low bitterness. Average French beer.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of honey, malt, and some fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, honey, and some fruits, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.
