Noire opaque, collet brun mince de fines bulle, persistant. Aromes torrefiés, latte, moka, et cacao. Acqueuse, picotante, toujours les saveurs de malt roti qui dominent avec une pointe metallique. Relativement courte pour une biere de ce type

33 cl, flaske, 5,4 % ABV (denne version), BB: 01/10/15, købt i Brune Rousse Houblon i Nice, Sydfrankrig, 29. april 2015. Sort Dry Stout med stor brun/moccafarvet skumkrone på ungefär 4 cm tykkelse. Svinder langsomt til kant og overflade. I starten en dejlig tørvlignende aroma af røg og ristet malt i massevis. Desuden gærnuancer af kælder. Senere er der mere moderat ristet malt-aroma og en ubestemmelig surhed, jeg ikke genkender. Smagen er let sur og solid bitter. Intet sødt eller salt her. Desværre dominerer indtrykket af en lidt vandet øl IMO, og alligevel er der meget smag i de beskedne procenter. Middel fyldig krop med en lettere blød karbonering. Ikke flad og stadig levende, men nedjusteret. Konsistensen er tynd til olieret, og afslutningen tør, kort og bitter. Opsummering: jeg spurgte efter en mørk og stout-lignende øl, og det fik jeg. Lidt for tør og decideret bitter til at blive én af mine favoritter, men tro mod øltypen, det er den.

Olives dipping in oil mix aroma. No foam and no carbonation. The brew is totally still like a beer you?d have opened last week and just found in the fridge. Tastes roasting. Flat and low alcohol, barely felt like a beer.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with low head. Nose is on dark coffee and a bit cheesy. Aroma is dark malt, dry coffee, dark chocolate, light licorice, roasted grain. Dark chocolate notes at the finish, lot of roasted coffee.

On tap at Le sur mesure in Nantes. Pours dark brown body with a nice lasting brown foam. Hoppy stout aromas with coffee, roasted malts, herbal dark hops, oatmeal cookies and milk chocolate. Strong taste with a light body and not strong (4ABV). Good lasting finish. Nice

Bottle from Brune Rousse Houblon, Nice. ABV on this one: 5,4 %. Pours almost black with a small off white head. Aromas of coffee, milk chocolate and roasted malts. Flavours of coffee, chocolate, hazelnut, soy sauce and some sour fruits. Smooth mouthfeel. Medium body.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2016 3.8% bottle from vvv; 4.1% ABV bottle from La Cellier Vitreen, Vitre, Brittany, France. An inky black beer with a thin tan head of foam. It has a tart red fruit, liquorice and chocolate flavour with malty, nutty and spicy notes followed by slightly sour red fruit on the finish. Not bad.
