Bottle @ benzai. Black colour with a large light brown head. Smells sweet, liquorice, slightly roasty. Tastes liquorice, coffee and dark malts. Medium body, soft carbo. Not bad at all but not a lot of exciting tastes going on.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, full sized brown head that lasts for quite a while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is a bit faint. Taste malts, a hint of roast, lightly rye, nicely bitter. Decent body, medium carbonation. Decent.

330ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöenr großen bräunlichen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr röstmalzig, schokoladig, bitter. Geschmack intensiv röstmalzig, trocken schokoladig, leicht fruchtig, Kaffee.

33cl bottle, thanks to sebletitje, pours with a fairly dark body that’s black to dark brown and supporting a mocha colored head. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, soft coffee notes and chocolate. The taste starts with dark roasted malts, some dark roasted coffee and then a bit of a ashy burnt note. In the middle there somewhere it gets into notes of dark chocolate before the dark roasted to burnt malts totally take over into the finish. Very nice highly roasted offering. I get lingering coffee and chocolate and burnt malts that go on into the after taste. I like it.

33cl bottle, BB 06/03/2014.

2012-11-12, draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris, 7-4-6-2-12=31
Black color, small head. Nice delicate aroma of roasted malt, some quality coffee. The mouthfeel is dry but quite round; strong flavor of roasted malt, too much accent on the burnt coffee character, leading to a final also dominated by this burnt feeling. Monodimensional.

2012-11-06, bottle at La Fine Mousse, Paris, bb 06/03/14, 6-4-6-3-12=31
Black color, small head. Mild aroma of roasted malt, with some coffee. Dry mouthfeel, heavily roasted malt, ashes, coffee, hint of liquorice.
Correctly brewed, but monodimensional.
