COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep golden, medium bodied and nicely bitter, Hopyard Pale is exceptional in the West Coast style. Generous hopping in the boil and further dry-hopping produce a fruity/floral aroma and refreshingly bitter finish. A true thirst quencher!

Wish we had a brew like this in Ontario! Golden amber with floral hop aroma. Moderately strong hop flavour, without being overly aggressive. The malt asserts itself through the hop edge quite nicely. This beer deserves the title of "pride of Nova Scotia" and not the other Inbev swill.

Sample at Atlantic Beer Festival Moncton. Clear golden orange color, medium white head. Aroma of pine, caramel, light citrus. Taste is mostly pine resin. Decent.

Pours a clear copper color with average carbonation. One finger head kept minimal retention but laces well. Begins with sweet caramel tones which fade into citrus and finally dry hop tastes. Medium bitterness falling somewhere between an ESB and IPA.

On tap at The Snooty Fox. Pours a golden amber color with a huge off white head that persists for a while. The aroma is filled with butterscotch and popcorn. I find it hard to get passed the butter, but the bartender assures me that this is a west coast style IPA. The flavor follows the aroma Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. I couldn’t get past the butter but other people tell me this is great

Jaune avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme d’houblon et agrumes. Assez amer avec les agrumes et une finition sec.

This was one of those nights where I really wanted a hoppy beer. Saw this had just came in, so I bought it without even checking it’s score here. Pours a clear gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is a kick in the face of delicious citrus-y hops. The flavour follows the aroma up beautifully, delivering a mouthful of pine resin and grapefruit (in a good way,) and has just enough sweetness on the back end to balance it. This is a gloriously good pale ale, and I will be buying more.

I really love this one, especially since it is always available in PEI liquor stores now. So many hops in this brew and it shows. It smells so fresh and piney. It taste of caramel, pine, and citrus. Then at the end you get big slap of its bitterness on your tongue, than it fades into glorious refreshment. Drink, Savour, Swallow, Repeat.

Aroma is a rich floral hop aroma. Some roastiness up front. Very tarty bite from hops. Some light sweetness from the malts but overtaken by the extra bitterness. Body is slightly cloudy gold with pearl white head
