Bottle at Calgary International Beer Fest. Pours hazy amber with a medium, creamy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, and resin hops, tropical fruity esters, biscuit and caramel malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, supporting malt, tropical fruity esters, and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pours a cloudy amber with an orange tinge and a thin creamy off white head that lasts and laces the glass really well. Aroma is citrus, fruity, sweet malts and some caramel. Flavour is a higher but well balanced citrus bitterness, sweet malts, biscuits and caramel. The bitterness lingers for a very long time though isn’t too harsh.

Tap @ Tom’s Little Havana. Earthy and overly sweet with a boozy kick. A real letdown in the Imperial IPA department.

Puissant nez de houblon frais qui se traduit parfaitement en bouche. Une amertume assez prenante s’impose du début à la fin. Puis une touche de caramel vient nuancer le portrait. Seul ombre au tableau; un arrière-goût un peu métallique demeure.

December 15, 2012 bottle shared by Bvery. Orange pour with some head. Aroma was dominated by malt but there was some hops in there so this may be an older bottle (yep bottled December 2011). Taste was like a dirty sock. Past its prime for sure.

Bottle. This is just okay for me - orange yellow pour with a small soapy head. Sharp drying hoppy flavor. Herbal and floral aroma.

It pours orange, translucent, murky, with lots of white lees wafting about; the head is beige with a tint of orange and mousse-like. The aroma has notes of: burnt toffee, grapefruit, and biscuit. The taste is medium-bitter that carries through to the finish; there are notes of burnt toffee and grapefruit. The palate is medium bodied, creamy, and has a long finish. Overall, defined hop flavours with a well balanced malt backbone.

Pours a light amber colour with a thick off-white head. Very small, tight bubbles. Aromas of grapefruit hops and citrus. Taste is very hoppy (pine more than citrus), with a long dry bitter finish.
