COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Launched and enthusiastically received at the first annual Halifax Seaport Beer Fest in August 2007, this ale has quickly become known as the hoppiest beer in Atlantic Canada! Imperial Pale Ale is a robust, medium bodied west coast style ale with a lingering hop bitterness complimented by a malty caramel backbone and a strong citrus character. This beer is for the true hophead! Appeared on cask dry hopped with Comet Hops as Comet IIPA.

Pours a light amber colour with a thick off-white head. Very small, tight bubbles. Aromas of grapefruit hops and citrus. Taste is very hoppy (pine more than citrus), with a long dry bitter finish.

Floral aroma with a bit of citrus. Not overly bitter, medium bodied, hazy copper colour. Alcohol well masked. Goes down smooth but not overly refreshing.

Smells great. Lots of citra hops in the smell with a little malt. Not quite an imperial IPA as the name says, but pretty good. Pours amber orange with great lacing and long lasting head. Bitter finish with a little malt to give the palate some meat. Bottle.

Hazy medium dark orange with a a thin lightly lacy beige head. Smells of heavy citrus and malt, caramel, with strong hoppy grapefruit. Medium Body with light carbonation. Strong taste of grapefruit, citrus and a strong biter hop finish. A great IPA but needs to be refined.

Pours a rich clear amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, some grapefruit, and a little pine. Taste is sweet up front with an earthy bitterness that quickly takes over. Medium body, good carbonation, and a smooth-creamy mouth feel. An enjoyable Imperial I.P.A.

a good beer - great mouthfeel, aroma and initial taste but a bit too much lingering bitterness at the finish.

A gorgeous muddy orange body with a huge orange head, wonderful retention. Nose is delicious: caramel, fresh pine, lemon and orange zest, coriander, tons of hops, dried apricot. Taste is piney hops, yeast, nutmeg, banana, coriander, wormwood, a good bitterness finish, but not overwhelming, smooth and oily. Very powerful and tasty brew at only 7% ABV

Pours a reddish amber with an almost creamy white head. On the nose its citrus, hoppy, grapefruit. Taste is big grapefruit, citrus hops but not to bitter. At 7% a great IPA yay Nova Scotia! $5.99 for 500ml bottle.
