COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classic beer style was inspired by centuries of Celtic brewing history. Specialty roasted malts such as crystal and carastan dominate Irish Red Ale resulting in a ruby red colour and smooth malty taste.

On tap at Garrison; nice ruby red color. This one was my least favorite of the beers I tried. Overall OK, but a little hoppy and malty for a Red Ale. Not sure if I would buy again

Aroma is a rich caramel malt character. Taste is a rich maltiness paired with a nice hopiness. Clear amber body with a creamy head that retains fairly well.

Pours a red brown with light stable head. Aroma of malt and nuts with hints of earth. Mild taste - very mild. Smooth but nothing much there other than malty hints.

Location: Draft at Maxwellís Plum, 7/7/13

Aroma: The aroma is fairly typical, with earth, some caramel, and toasted malts
Appearance: It pours an amberish color with a fairly small, off-white head
Flavor: The taste is malt-forward, with average sweetness, and a light, earthy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium and it has a decent mouthfeel overall
Overall Impression: This one was decent, but not very exciting. Itís on-style well enough I guess. A forgettable beer for sure.

341ml bottle into a tumbler. Pours a transparent ruby/amber with not much in the way of head. Smooth and light on the palate, not much in the way of flavour. A bit malty. Not much to it.

Poured from a 341mL bottle. Clear amber colour with nice beige head. Caramel malt aroma with light biscuity malt taste and creamy texture. Simple, but effective.

Clear, reb brown colour with a fairly creamy head. muted aroma but has notes of caramel, roast and malts. On the palate is has a roasted note, creamy profile and a hint of funky tartness on the finish that is hard to place. Easy drinking red with a weird funk.

Pours a clear reddish-copper with small off white head that laces the glass moderately. Aromas of toffee, caramel, butter like, quite clean. Flavours of caramel, toffee, toast, light hop bitterness, finishes dry with light toasted grains. Tasty beer.

Aroma is one of beerís most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.

On tap, it pours a clear deep red color with a big off white creamy head that leaves excellent lace. Smell is sweet caramel and biscuit. Taste is sweet caramel up front turning into a bready taste then finishes with a smooth easy bitterness. Good red ale.
