3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from 341mL bottle. Opaque dark black with nice beige head. Roasted malt, coffee, and some wood aroma. Body is quite light with slightly creamy texture. Light coffee taste, some licorice, feint hint of dark fruit. Flavour seems a little bit thin for a stout overall.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an opaque black with tan coloured head that amounts to a thin cover and slightly bigger ring. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, wood, grainy overall. Flavours of coffee, roasted malt, light bitterness, and dry-smoke finish.

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
The appearance and aroma are fine, but the main flavour I’m getting is a distinctly salty aftertaste. Not a good stout.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml bottle. Pillowy tan head that took a while to disappate. Hint of oaty and coffee flavours with a bit of a smoky aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Light bitterness on the tail end. Probably the best of the locally-produced stouts.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
341mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of dry roasted malts, oats, and unsweetened dark cocoa. Flavour is less pleasant, with metallic-tinged dry roasted malt, oats and bittersweet cocoa. There is a bitter, metallic finish that lasts quite a while. Pretty simple and with too many flaws, but drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle pours almost black in color with a quickly receding 2 fingers of light tan head which left some spotted lacing behind. Aroma is light roasted malts and espresso. Taste is a espresso bitterness with some light malty sweetness and light hop bitterness. Not being a coffee drinker, this brew had a little too much coffee flavor for my liking, but is still a decent quality stout.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Deep, opaque brown pour with average mocha head that recedes too quickly. The nose is odd for a stout; burnt espresso with a real barnyardy edge and a light hop presence. Good roasty feel in the mouth with a mostly one dimensional espresso taste that finishes with a light bitterness. A little light in the body. Overall more impressive than anything I’ve had from these guys in quite a while which isn’t really saying much.
