COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crisp and lightly malted, this Golden Wheat Ale is distinguished by its natural raspberry flavour. A one of a kind taste unlike most traditional beers, this unique and refreshing brew is only available during the summer.

341mL bottle from matt7215, thanks Matt. Pours a hazy straw gold with pinkish highlights and a medium white froth. The aroma is of creamed corn and rasberry, pale malts, okay. Flavour is much better, and surprises me by how not horrifyingly sweet it could be. Still quite sweet but not over the top. Nice creamy malt body with an earthy rasberry finish that doesn’t seem too synthetic (maybe even real?). Dry wheaty malt character too that I find in most flavoured wheat ales. This is actually not that bad.

Imagine what full flavour a raspberry wheat could have. Why can’t we get that, instead of what we see here? Garrison seems to have two different tiers for its beer: one for the beer geeks, as we see in the dark lager, spruce, etc... and one for the everyday sales. Sure, they need to make money, but they can obviously make great stuff so why can’t they fix up the everyday beers? This has that typical lack of flavour and high carbonation when passing through your lips, with an eventual kick but nothing to write home about. Aftertaste is artificial raspberry.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head, which goes away fast. On the nose its a good raspberry as well with the taste. great summer beer. well carbonated.

Thanks to my dad for sharing this bottle. The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is full of syrupy raspberry with some wheat notes thrown in for good measure. The flavor follows suit. I get a lot of raspberry, as well as some grain and wheat notes. Thin mouthfeel and high carbonation.

341ml bottle from the tasters 6-pack pours a golden color with a small white head and very little lacing. Aroma is light raspberry and some floral hops. Taste is raspberry a little tart and not too sweet with a wheat malt sweetness and mild hop bitterness near the end. Light to medium body and plenty of carbonation leave a decent feeling on the tongue. Quite drinkable and thirst quenching.

341ml bottle. The name says it all, it’s raspberry and wheaty. A little thin, but tasty. Almost more like a pop.

Tap at brewery, This stuff wasnt bad, it smelt strongly of raspberrys and it was a bit malty, but the mix of the two was done well. The front of the beer was raspberry and then it fades and malts come through

Pours golden with nice carbonation. Strong raspberry aroma. very fresh and light. Nice raspberry flavour light and enjoyable. clean aftertaste. This is a perfect raspberry beer. Lots of raspberry flavour without being overwhelming. Very similar to the wild rose raspberry, which in my opinion has the perfect balance of fruit and beer flavours. This is an excellent brew.

Speed review! Light amber gold with a small amount of white head that sticks to the rim, the beer itself has some micro floaties. The smell is typical for this take on a wheat beer - very sweet raspberry and forward wheat. The only difference here is that I think that the raspberry is less ’fake’ than I’ve had in others of the same ilk. The flavour is much better than usual due to the sharp tartness that hits quick and sticks, dulled out raspberries which, at least while I’m chugging this, are not overly sweet and seem to shine more in the last half of the taste, smooth wheat that comes across as unassuming. But yet, this is a rasp wheat beer which might quench the thirst but will always leave me bored and quickly forgetting this brew. Lots of carbonation but not chunky carbonation, nice soft long bitter finish. Decent brew.

This is a guilty pleasure of mine, which in the scope of guilty pleasures is better than New Kids on the Block or Glee. Raspberry is a bit forced, but as a drink on a hot summer night, I would not complain at all.

Not a great beer. A fake raspberry taste and aroma. Sweet and grainy with a light skunky taste. I will not be having this one again...really bad.
