I enjoyed this Moon juice and I am not sure why it got such low ratings. It is what it says it will be and it does it rather well. Some other maple beers I have had seem to miss the point of having a strong maple flavour. Garrison’s ruby-brown example comes out swinging with strong #2 maple, roasty malts, leather and walnuts in both the aroma and taste. It’s quite sweet but that’s what I expect from a beer based mostly around the flavour of a type of sweetener. A medium body with healthy carbonation make this dessert beer an occasional treat.

I dare say this beer does exactly what it set out to do, but apparently that gets you low ratings. I thought it was a great maple beer. Poured a beautiful ruby colour with a tiny head. Aroma was of maple. Tasted of real maple syrup, bread, and caramel. Had a big heavy body with low carb and sweet maple aftertaste. Perfect for dessert this one is.

Ambré avec une petite mousse beige. L’arôme à plein d’érable mais il n’est pas trop sucré en bouche. Il est sucré, avec d’érable et du malt. Il ya un peu d’amertume mais presque rein.

Truly Canadian Ale brewed with Nova Scotia maple syrup from "Sugar Moon Farms" Dark-amber colour with a light maple aroma and toasty, caramel and maple flavours. Smooth and tasty, best enjoyed under a cold sugar moon! Cheers!

strong aromas of maple - maybe slightly artificial? Overly sweet - tastes like maple cookies and definite artificial maple flavouring. finishes with similar flavour. Sweetness might make for a dessert beer, but off-maple flavour is too prevalent. yuck.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear brew with a red/amber colour. Smoked maple aroma , caramel mixed with a weird/unpleasant celery note. On the palate it is medium bodied, creamy and has a maple flavour and some light malt flavour and finishes fairly dry. interesting, easy drinking, but that celery note is really off-putting.

[bottle at DwEEBs meeting]
Celery and real maple syrup aroma with some toasted malt detectable behind the maple flavour. Clear, dark amber under wisps and a ring of fine bubbles. Nice, real maple syrup flavour together with some toasty malt and notes of bread crust, celery, and watermelon malt. Medium body, medium carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Hazy amber color, almost no head. It has a nice aroma of malple syrup and caramel coated nuts. Lean body, dry mouthfeel, caramel flavor with a nutty edge, but also light sourness.
Too much fermentation left no sugar and body to talk about.
