3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had this beer on tap in Halifax. Nice amber colour with rich white head. The malt/hop balance was quite good. The hop aroma came through with a long bitter finish, warmed by the caramel maltiness and earthiness.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Minimal head. Transparent gold/red hue. Many bubbles. Pleasant honey, caramel, and malt aroma. Thin bodied. Fair amount of bubbly hop supplemented with flavours of honey, malt and caramel with a slightly dry, crisp finish. Good, but certainly not spectacular.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours clear pale gold with a short off-white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, spotty lacing. (3/5) Nose is pale biscuity malt, faint leafy hops. (4/10) Taste is mild sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Light body, low sustained carbonation. (3/5)
Gotta be the palest "amber" I’ve ever had, and I think they filtered out all the flavour along with the colour. Pretty bland stuff. (8/20)

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bland with wet cardboard oxidized notes and a hint of infection. This beer does not have much going for it.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear copper colour with a fast disappearing head that settles as a thin film and leaves no lace. The toasted caramel notes dominate the flavour and grassy hops come through on the finish. A bit of a earthy amber ale with some leafy green notes. a thin beer, kind of generic.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I’m going to give Tall Ship a bit more credit than the previous raters, although I might be working more off of nostalgic memories than they did. The beer pours amber with a rather thin off-white head. Aromas are mostly resiny, with caramel notes. Rather malty taste with a hoppy-bitter finish, somewhat one-dimensional but refreshing. Decent "everyday" amber.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A middle of the road type of beer. Better than the typical macro brews, but nothing special.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Really not a huge fan of this. Has light caramel taste with hints of toffee and raisins. I find it to be quite watery though, but then it is a little lighter on the ABV. I would recommend to people just getting off macros, but I can never really go back to it.
