COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Glows a warm, hazy. Complex fruit (orange and tropical fruits) and spicy aroma. Medium body with pleasant sweetness, a zesty-lemony fruitiness and herbal-spice finish. A refreshing, elegant and crisp Belgian-inspired wheat ale.

Bottle from the brewery - picked up and sent to me by my brother-in-law in Halifax. Slightly hazy gold with a HUGE foamy white head. Aroma of citrus peel and pineapple, bit of yeast and spice. Crisp and lively mouthfeel, really refreshing. Very nice flavour of orange zest, lemon oil, peppery hops, fresh herbal back note, and a great yeasty tang in the finish. Definitely not a typical Belgian wit - more of a Saison, really - which probably explains why Garrison entered it into the Canadian Brewing Awards under that style and won a Bronze medal. Style aside, though, it’s just a really great beer.

500ml bottle. Pale hazy orange with a white head. Orange, banana, cloves, spice, light malt and a nice lace left all the way down the glass. High carbonation, little thin, mildly sweet, dry finish but plain and lacking depth.

Bottle, thank you again my East Coast rating gurus, Colin and Kendra. Looks a fairly bland yellow, no haze, small wisp of a white head. Aroma is solid, lots of fruit and yeast. Taste is a let down - metallic stale fruit, some mild spice, very herbal up front but little in finish. Decent body to back it up, not watery and lots of flavour, it just does not amount to much. Not bad and completely drinkable, i guess i just expected more.

500ml bottle. Aroma is wheat malt and some fruit. The most interesting thing about this was the pour. Huge whipped cream head that lasted and lasted. There was actually still about a half cm of head left when I drained that glass. It left lots of lacing down the glass as I drank. Flavour was sweet wheat malt with some banana, citrus and sugar. The coriander came through in the finish as well as a faint bitterness. Palate was just a touch soapy.

500 ml bottle from Bishop’s Cellar. Pours a slighly hazy pale yellow-gold with good-sized white head. Aroma is banana with some other candied fruit and a light spice. Flavour has decent yeastiness with banana and citrus, as well as a bit of coriander, but also a candy sugar sweetness that doesn’t do as much for me. Slightly drying finish. Ok but not overly compelling.

500ml bottle. Pours a cloudy pale yellow, with a frothy off-white head. Aromas are faint, malt up front, with some faint spice, banana, and faint hops. Taste is thinner than I like, with lemon citrus, pink bubble gum, banana, cloves, and some wheat bitterness, and sourness in the finish.

Bottle, purchased @ the brewery. Hazy golden yellow with a robust white head. Spicy, estery aroma. Wheaty estery palate with tart lemony citrus character, light spice, low sweetness, and a tart dry finish. Nice and refreshing.

[3681-20110416] 500mL bottle. Light corn oil aroma is a little toasted. Clear, light orange yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Lightly bitter Belgian yeast flavour has a long yeasty aftertaste with just a hint of banana. Light-medium body. Nice brew, drinkable. (7/3/7/3+/14) 3.4
