500mL bottle shared by JoeMcPhee, poured into a copita glass. Color is chestnut brown. Aroma is British wet malts, light musky and very ESB-like. Taste is similar, I do not get any kind of spiced character but a wet and dark cold night kind of feel from it. Otherwise, average carbonation and medium mouthfeel.

Smells like gingerbread. Taste has some spiciness, clove. There isn’t much of a leave, though - taste falls pretty flat after the initial spice. Bottle

From bottle. Rich caramel with berry aroma. Deep amber colour with a crisp off white head. Fresh texture, spices, sweet and nutty ale. Smooth and rich finish. I would buy a bottle of this again. Enjoyable ale.

Pours a silky dirty brown with a small off white head that quickly recedes to a ring. Aroma is spicy cinnamon and malt. Taste is spice and cinnamon up front with a solid malt backing and seems boozy at just 6.8.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Spab (1646) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 19, 2010
500 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits. Pours a murky brownish orange with small off-white head. Aroma is sweet toffee and dark fruit (plum, raisin) and bread. Taste is very sweet with lots of plum and raisin, brown sugar, toffee and a light spiciness. Alcohol is actually fairly understated and body is thinner than might be expected. Nice.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheJester (1460) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2010
500 mL bottle. Cloudy amber-orange with a small, pale, orange head. Malty-spicy aroma focusses on toasted caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, cola, and a hint of orange. It’s all there in the flavour as well, although more loosely defined, and there is a mildly spicy-bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation. More drinkable than some others, in that the spicing is not overwhelming.
