Commercial Description:
A classic Pre-Prohibition style of American lager that died out during Prohibition. Made from American 6-row barley and 20% flaked rice to dilute the excessive protein levels, giving it a slight sweetness that is offset by good hop levels. Medium to high malt and hop flavor and aroma. We use German Magnum & Tettnanger, American Santiam and Czech Saaz Hops.

on tap-pours a thin white head and yellow color. Aroma is sweet grain, spicy hops. Taste is sweet grain, floral/herbal, spicy hops-slightly bitter (continental hops). OK/mild carbonation. The one uninfected beer of the day! Seeing the 2 earlier raters comments, confirms my thoughts on how unfortunate this inconsistency is. SANITATION, CLEAN-CLEAN-CLEAN!

6/25/05 at Garden State Brewfest. Good thing this style of American Lager died out when Prohibition came around. This was beat. Please reference tsarman’s rating (who was there with me nearly 6 months ago).

At the 2005 Garden State Brewfest. An ok lager, though infinitely forgettable. First Gaslight beer I tried that day, and it was probably the worst.
