Cask. Pours a dark brune body with a thin lacing. Roasted coffee tones, burtn malts, loads of coffee. A slick and bitter body with a lingering coffee grind character. Some lighter notes mid-palate, and again finishes rather roasty. Maybe the best thing i’ve had at gaslight.

On cask at Gaslight. Bartender told me this was the brewer’s first time trying a coffee beer like this. Pours a dark brown to black, clear, with a small dense tan head. Smells like fresh pressed roast coffee. Bit weak on the flavor to start, as if trying to figure out what it wants to be. Then the coffee comes back in, huge, and it gets a bit tart . Long coffee finish with lots of roast. Especially since this was cask, blurred line between coffee and beer. Pretty interesting.
