COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Robust, dark ale with a fairly full body, a coffee-like dryness from the use of roasted malts (as opposed to the roast barley character of stouts), a malty flavor, and a strong hop character that balances these other factors. Dark brown to black and medium to full-bodied. We use German Munich, Belgian Chocolate, English Caramel & Canadian Honey Malts. We also use German Magnum & English Fuggle hops.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2011 Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 3/19/11

Aroma: It has a malty nose toast, caramel, nuts, and something slight sour too
Appearance: This one has a brown pour with a slight red hue, light brown head
Flavor: The flavor is very similar, roast, sour notes, nuts, and caramel
Palate: The mouthfeel is decent, but a touch on the watery side
Overall Impression: It is a decent beer with a decent mouthfeel, but it is not too exciting overall. Another Gaslight beer that was drinkable but unremarkable.

caramel, roasty, coffee, nuts, smoke, Good porter, I’d like it to taste a little less watery, which is my biggest knock on all Gaslight beers, they all seem to be a slight step below what would make them very good beers body wise. However this is one of my favorites here
