thefle (111), , New Jersey, USA Feb 11, 2009 Strong brew, 10% ABV for the record. Very clear beer, not a very pleasing taste. However it gets the job done hence the name. It’s not an easy drink but beers named the eliminator probably shouldn’t be easy on your palate Rciesla (3500), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jun 2, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Pours a golden ale with a white head. Aroma is spring fruit, citrus, banan, some chocolate malt. Etoh is very present in this beer that dries your palate out as you finish. Tap at the brewpub. Decent. Kind of heavy for a doppelbock. More like a syrupy dubbel or triple than a doppel. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Jun 4, 2006 Smells, looks, and tastes like a tripel. Sweet. I think it is underrated here. Honey. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Jun 1, 2006 orange/light copper with a small head and light carbonation. Aroma, sweet malt, chocolate hints, some banana. Taste: slightly bitter upfront with sweet malt, light chocolate notes, a slightly hoppy finish. MullMan (1080), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA May 26, 2006 on tap at the brewpub. golden yellow color, whitish head. aroma is a little banana, a little alcohol, and some yeast. smells a bit like a tripel. flavor is yeasty, banana, and watery, yet has dry alcohol flavor too. go figure. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA Apr 24, 2005 ugh, nothing special. what’s with the my-(expletive)-is-bigger-than-yours terminology for this super bock? apparently heartland uses it too. Sweet and bitter, like a beer version of sweet and sour mix. And gets the same reviews: eh... better than Coors Light? MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Apr 9, 2004 Tap at the brewery. Clear yellow orange, no head. Lacks carbonation. Malty aroma, with some alcohol notes. Clean. Thin and watery palate, with a big malt profile, and an alcohol bite that is not too dominating. Decent.
