20061209 Tap at brewpub. My favorite of the night, ’Organic Pumpkin’. Spicy nose and flavor, obviously going for the pumpkin pie angle. Big clove and nutmeg. Minor diacetyl, less than most of their other stuff. Pretty good.

Had this under the "Organic Pumpkin Ale" name. I felt this years version is overwhelmed with whole clove spices with subdued nutmeg or cinnamon. Aroma is hot with tons of clove, and light fruity esters. Flavor was actually pretty nice and full compared to most of their beers- still too much clove though with hints of nutmeg, light caramel and a relatively smooth finish. Nice spiced beer, but didnt remind me all too much of a pumpkin beer- almsot more christmas-y.

on tap-pours a light tan head with clear copper color. Aroma has huge amounts of nutmeg, if there’s any other aroma, it’s been overpowered. Taste is lots of nutmeg, over spiced, watery.

light amber color, thin pale tan head. aroma is overly strong clove and nutmeg. faint sour grass is far away. flavor is sweetish malt choked by nutmeg and some clove. again, the grassiness is only there in spirit, this is a nutmeg lover’s beer.
