Bottled into a cobalt bottle as a 10th anniversary release i believe. Served 5/8/09 Silver Label that says something similar. Pours an amber body with a white head. Very soap y its very unpleasant. Huge unrefined alcohol burn with some cherry fruit, and pit. Etoh latent fruit and stinky cheese. I’m positive this was much better when it was first bottled but this is an abomination to IIPA’s, and seems to lack all the enjoyable characteristics of an IPA.

Thanks to Ryan for sharing. .5 liter blue bottle with an ugly label. Pours a deep murky amber with a thin head. Aroma i sslight isovaleric- parmesan and puke, light mintiness, grassy, solvent and cleanser. Flavor is nutty, harsh fruity fusels, sweet cloying syrup, astringent in the end, and some old hops and more puke content. This was pretty bad, even for Gaslight!

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2009 How would one bottle be older than another if both were rated around the same time? Nice bottle and good effort from Gaslight but seems to be in line with most of the brews I have tried there. Brownish almost cloudy with some head. Aroma is malty with a hint of smoke, old stale bread and dirt. Taste is a little bitter with some mold and caramel malts. If I didn’t know style I would pick this to be a terrible barleywine. Absolutely not a DIPA.

Bottle at Gaslight, This was a pretty tasty IIPA, RCiesla should most definitely re-rate since his bottle was old, these bottles aren’t meant to sit for long. In terms of Gaslight beers this is one of their better beers.
