330 mL capped bottle, what a deal – thanks Secret Santa (IslandHaole!): clear, dark amber…minimal, small bubbled white head. Smokey, sugared ham aroma with hints of ginger, vanilla pudding and strawberries. Rauche-like flavour profile: pomegranates, bitter honey and sweet grass…intriguing and not bad.

It’s been 10 months since I’ve been here and lookie what I found, a new beer! A dark Amber colored brew with a smallish beige head, nice deep malty scent. Caramel and dried Apricots in the nose. A very sweet malty front with a nutty middle, mild bitter follow. Nice thick body and good mouthfeel. A tasty Bock from this small brewery tucked away in the mountains of Japan.
