Taki przecietniak. Ale piana stoji debem. Jest do tego bardzo trwala. Aromat karmelowy i troche rodzynkowy ma posmak, karmel takze. Wytrawny lekki finisz. Kolor ciemno bursztynowy. Alt prosto z Dusseldorfu, ale jednak degustowalem sporo lepsze.

Bottled 04/06/13. A dark brown beer with an off-white head and lace. A dry, slightly grassy aroma. A little smoky roasty in the mouth but it’s way too thin for me. Harmless but really quite uninteresting.

Draught at Altes Brauhaus, Koblenz. Poured a translucent dark amber with a two-finger light beige foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Low to moderate carbonation with small bubbles forming trails. Aroma of sweet malt and a trace of caramel. Taste is sweet malt from start to finish; no bitterness. Light body. Sweet finish. Easy drinking, even if a bit sweet.

On tap @Oldenburg Madrid. Standard alt. Malty, some nut aromas and flavours, light, pale copper colour, average head. Nothing remarkable.

Bottle. Really nice aroma of nuts, some coffee, basement lagered grain, and some hazelnut chocolate. Velvety carbonation, moderately dry taste, malty flavour with a moderately strong bitterness and an aftertaste of chocolate, coffee and hazelnuts. Really nutty altbier, with many dark flavour notes. Very good!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 zimbo (334) - SCOTLAND - DEC 12, 2012
Was off to a promising start with an effortless big foamy head. collossal beading everywhere. Turned in to a yellow brownisg been with almost a greenish tinge to it.
Soft but somewhat carbonic in the mouth at first. Light to medium bodied at best ands seemingly tighly filtered. Some dash of nut but also a hardness on the edge where nothing else is allowed to escape. Quenching but that tinny quality just always seems to be there in the foreground.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Douberd (681) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2012
Bottle of 500 ml, bought at a gas station when returning home from Germany. Poured into an altbier glass. ABV is 4,8%. On the bottle the name is just Gatz Altbier, (and not Gatzweiler).
Dark amber colour, with a nice, creamy head of two fingers, off-white in colour and with very good retention. Light lacing left behind. In the glass, lots of tiny bubbles rising to the top.
Very nice aroma of roasted malts, along with light caramel notes.
Taste is also of roasted malts, slighty sweet at first, turns to very bitter on the finish, with long duration too. A metallic flavour as well.
Medium to full body, with average carbonation.
Very good altbier, I will keep it in mind for the next time I visit that area.

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, as Gatz Altbier, no mention of any Gatzweiler. Clear dark amber-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of toffee, burnt caramel, sweet nuts, toasted malts. Flavour is light sweet, malty, light grainy, burnt caramel, light chocolate, light bitter hoppy and nutty finish with a bit of chocolate. Light-bodied. Meh...

Pours a clear dark caramel with a small white ring. Aroma is caramel and toast. Taste is toasted caramel grains. Not as nice as others but still very solid.
