mjs (427), Finland May 4, 2008 (Bottle at One Pint on 2008-02-12) Hazy and brownish yellow. Yeast and frutiness in nose. Hardly any head. Sourness and hops in taste. Sauerkraut in nose, too. Very interesting beer. oh6gdx (5195), Vaasa, Finland Feb 13, 2008 Bottled. Hazy ambery orange colour with small white head. Aroma is fruits, yeast as well as some hints of herbs and some vegetables. Flavour is fruity, caramel malty and some herbal notes. Also the alcohol shows a bit once it warms up a bit. Cloudy orange, tiny head. Soupy aroma - decent bouillon, but some celery, cabbage and swede too, and a touch of bovril. Taste matches that very closely - it’s a savoury beer - all the aromas and some marmite as well. Carbonation is quite soft. Taste also has a touch of cocoa. Interesting, and not bad at all, but a bit odd, and I wouldn’t hunt it out again. MiP (4843), Flensburg, Germany Oct 5, 2007 Bottle. OK bready aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Very small white head. Fruity flavour, slightly sweet with a hint of bread. Pleasant carbonation and quite drinkable. Full mouthfeel. sayravai (3000), Helsinki, Finland May 1, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy amber (muddy medium brown with yeast) with a smallish, firm and lacy head. Earthy vinegar aroma with curranty fruitiness. Very fruity flavor with banana esters, fermented strawberries, yeast, toffeeish maltiness, some vinegar, and hints of alcohol. Much smoother with yeast. Medium to full-bodied, creamy and smooth, medium-carbonated palate with hints of tartness and alcohol. Quite different from the average tripel, but balanced and enjoyable.
