Not sure why this is called Burned Brown, it states on the bottle "Traditional high fermented beer with burned malts", but I don’t get the roast malts, and the colour is fairly light. That said, this is still a very enjoyable beer, if a little on the sweet side for my taste. Overall, I would certainly have this beer again, but wouldn’t go to any great lengths to get hold of it.

Brown amber, foam disappear quickly. Just sugar and caramel with some light fruitiness. Flat.

Brown body, almost headless, not pretty. Sweet malts, barley wine like dry fruit, roasted bit not thick, not smoked. Simpler taste, soft bitterness only, mostly sweet malts and a bit too sticky. Too sugary for me, even though it packs a lot of flavour. (33cl bottle at Nüetnigenough)

Small yellow-cream head, fast gone over reddish murky-brown beer. Fruity, bit alcoholic nose, but fleetingly. Soon replaced by chocolate, wood and a touch of black cardamom peel. Again chocolate and wood-y; more peel and lightly roasted malts. Rather neutral, faint malty sweetness, some dry, near-bitterish overtones. Feels quite carbonated. Medium bodied and slick. Light in body and surprisingly mild for its claimed 9.7% ABV. Not bad, really. I had been fearing worse, but there is still something worthwhile in Stasegem.

Donkerbruine kleur, kraag is snel pleite. Ruikt donker moutig, koffie. Smaakt vlak en waterig, wat mout. Totaal geen diepte. Wat een tegenvaller!

Roasted malts, a bit simple and uninteresting brew, but it is OK. It could use a small boost.
