3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark copper colored in appearance. Aroma is pulpy orange with sweetly oxidized notes. Tart edge leads into a fermented cola taste with light metallic aspects. Nicely carbonated, but overall this is not what I expected. Perhaps it was a bad bottle, but this strikes me as being a sour quad. $5/11.2oz

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Beer Table. This was served in a snifter, and poured a brown-red hue with no head. Palate was soft in the mouth – bordering on watery despite the ABV – and had just a touch of carbonation. Aroma lended interesting “mature” red fruit, earthiness, must and sour wood. Flavor is best characterized by dried fruit – dates, pear, maybe apricot. Finish maintained some bready qualities, as well as a hint of sourness. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the mouthfeel, but found all the apparent flavors to be interesting and unusual.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottle, pours dark red, tall tan head. Sweet malt and spiced aroma. Roasted malt, a sour peach kind of flavor that turns bitter like chewing on a cinnamon stick. A moderate alcohol burn follows and lingers as it fades. Besides the alcohol burn, this is a fairly easy drinker, very similar to the bruine.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a mostly clear dark red - fizzy head that disappears almost immediately - the nose is tart and fruity, with notes of sour cherry, raisin, dates, overripe apples - a tiny bit of metallic character is easy to ignore - starts tart and lightly acidic, with some vinous notes - this makes way for some toffee sweetness, candied fruits - the sweetness is persistent for a while, but it dries out for the finish, and a little bit of acidity returns - warming on the end, but the alcohol is well-hidden - decent, but somewhat thin for the strength.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of tart strawberries and a touch of caramel malt and yeasty esters. Body starts effervescent and sweettart with some vinous character and toffee flavor along with some cherry-like acidity before a drier, slightly warming finish. A pretty interesting and unique brew, but could use more sweetness and body.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, Extra. Aroma of intense fig, oak?, dark, dried cherry (in a sour, wine-like way), apple, pear, spice notes (something like cinnamon and mint). Flavor a bit sweeter than expected from the aroma, more in the area of sugary fruits. Hints of earth and coffee in there as well. Very dry finish. These guys love making dry beers I guess, if I can make that generalization after two of them. Pretty good.
