33 cl. bottle. The stateside importer Twelvepercent Imports, LLC, is handling a beer with the name "’t Gaverhopke Extra." They designate it as a quad, so I’m guessing this is the same beer. Poured a murky orangey brown with a frothy beige head leaving spotty lacing. Yeasty streudel aroma with vinous and sour berries, green apple, dark honey, and toasted nuts. Sweet toffee flavor cut through by a tart berry and plummy fruit note. Also suggestive of underripe oranges. Toasty alcohol, peppery spice, and a leathery and woody dryness marks the finish. Delicate carbonation. Pretty nice overall balance between the tartness, fruitiness, spiciness and toffee sweetness.

Label says "Bruin 12" and not Den Twaalf.
Amber, brown colored brew. Nice sour/sweet, malty, wine-like aroma. Flavor is malty, wine-like, sweet and some fruits. Nice brew.

Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, raisin, drye prunes, brown suager. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (010808)

Bottle at Kulminator. Copper brown with a huge beige head. Complex tart fruity aroma with caramel. Sour notes. Milky chocolate, sour fruit, semi-dry finish. Rather smooth, full-bodied. This is something different. A beer that runs in all directions. Maybe not the most elegant, but definitely exciting.

Bottled. Brown color. Plums and raisin in the aroma. Sugary sweet, vinous flavor with pineapple and plums. The sugar hides the alcohol, but also the complexity that should be there.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s
Thick, murky amber body with a very slight tan rim and quite heavy carbonation. Fairly heavy yeasty stuff with some good fruity notes. Very burnt malty notes with slight spicy hints. Well balanced and very well hidden alcohol considering the high abv. Decent beer.
