(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber to brown colour with a small and tanned frothy head. Belgian yeast-spicy character with notes of dried fruits/raisins, mildly toasted malt and delicately woody notes of vanilla. Moderately sweet and delicately sour flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Fruity and mildly toasted malty base with notes of prunes, a touch of raisins, caramel and vanilla; sweet and slightly sour-fruity, if not delicately lactic finish. No revelation, but has some lighter attributes of a Flemish Red. 06.X.13

Dark reddish brown color, with beige head.
Aroma: sweet, cherries (and other dak fruits), bit whisky touch.
Taste: sweet, light bitterness (background), almost no alcohol.
A light sourness finish.

La verdad es que era bastante extraña, no sabía a cerveza ni como otras cervezas envejecidas en whisky que he probado. El sabor es fuertecillo. Al principio no me convencía pero después la disfruté bastante. Muy curiosa.

Bottle from bieresgourmet.be webshop. Pours a deep mahogany brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is rum, raisins, wood, dark chocolate and hints of whisky and honey. Taste is sour-ish yeast notes, deep malts, raisins and loads of metal which is really disruptive at first but thankfully disappears after a while. Hints of red fruits and citric peel, which really feels out of place and makes the whole beer seem a bit like some strange juice or something. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Half-decent, but very weird.

Sourness was quite a lovely surprise. Barrel contribution to flavor is appropriately restrained. Complexity on the finish tops the cake.

Brune rougeâtre, pas de mousse, pétillance légère. On est sur les fruits rouges et foncés, un peu vineuse surette et boisée. Alcool peu présent malgré un ABV élevé.

A deep toffee colored pour. Slim head settles in after falling from a medium off-white froth. Not much lacing. Smell is malty, slight wood, leather, bit of acetic. A dry malty taste with a big tangy presence. Slightly sour. Not too bad. But not what was expected at all.

33cl bottle. Brown/red with small head. Nose : apple, grapes. Tart. Lambic. Sip : medium body with almost no carbonation. Sweet and fruity. Covered with compote like sourness. It has no bitterness. Narrow taste but funny as it reminds grandmas fruit punch.

Bottle at Bierboom, Bruges. It pours deep ruby with a small beige head. The nose is tangy fruit, cherry, blackcurrant, whisky, faint vanilla and wood. The taste is tart berry, red grape, blackcurrant, cherry, jam, wood and light alcohol with a dry finish. Med+ body and fine carbonation. Not much to it, but it is rather tasty. Hides abv very well indeed.

Bottle shared by Joes. Dark red brown color, no head at all. Aroma of wood and a touch of sourness. Taste some sourness that’s actually quite overwhelming. Why would you bottle this? It’s more like red fruits and red wine instead of whisky. Basically it just sucks.
