+/- 10 yr. old 33 cl. Bottle with no lable and covered in dust @ Kulminator. This was still brewed by the former brewer and not the new one. Reddish, Bordeaux, cranberry, light purple, some difficulties nailing the colour of this one, head disappears faster than I have ever seen, like the head on coca-cola or something. Smell is agreeable, smells a bit like a sweetened kriek, some dust, light sweet syrup and touch mustiness, ok so far. Taste on the other hand is hard to call enjoyable, rotting cellar, filth, dust, musty, rotting, highly fermenting kriek, rotting cherry pits, garbagejuice, rotting leaves,… Flat or close to. I have previously called Gaverhopke the worst brewery in Belgium, this does little to change my opinion of them. This may be the age or a potential sign that even under the previous brewer they used to be not too good. It can be said that this was probably not meant to be aged.

A- Bubbly head like the foam you see at the ocean. The head dissipates pretty quickly to a nice lacing. Hazy orange with a red hue, the color reminded me of a Tequila Sunrise (the drink). S- Sour lactic cherry and a whiff of booze, Smells very nice and just how I’d have expected. T- There is a quick sharp bitter kick up front that I was not expecting but enjoyed especially as it mellowed out quickly. Sweet and Sour cherry, hay, hops, a bit of metal, and a mouthful of nutty cherry pit at the end which I really enjoyed. Aftertaste is clean, slightly sweet, nutty, and dry. M&D- Effervescent and smooth, cleansed the palette and easy to drink. Felt very light on the tongue and in the mouth.

Pours a hazy golden brownish color. Aromas of mild cherries, wheat bread, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish

Golden straw color. You read that right - and this is fresh from the brewery. No head. No lacing. Still not sure how people are getting red hue from something that is slightly darker than a Bud Light. Oh well. Smells of cherries with pits. Hence the almond like aroma in there. Sweet and sour on the tongue. A definite bitterness from the pits that I presume are in there. It’s too nutty not to have them. Very good everyday beer.

300ml bottle! The beer in glass is reddish-brown, which brings relatively cloudy. The smell is typical of a fruit beer. Very cherry-like and easily fermented. The beer starts very cherry sour, fermented taste of Witbier and cherries. The finish is also slightly sourish. For 7.0% alcohol extremely mild. Really not bad!!!

Pours hazy golden with a small white head and lacings. Barnyard, dust and earth. Marzipan and a vague tartness. Medium bodied.
