2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 maeib (6637) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2008
Bottled - GBBF 2008. A cherry red coloured beer with minimal off-white wisps of head. The aroma has cherries, but it’s too thin, and a bit syrupy. The taste has a bit of tartness, and again far too little cherry. Too thin and boring.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thebeertourist (4060) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 15, 2006
Bottle (only distinguished from the rest of the Gaverhopke range by the red cap) at Kulminator. Burgundy red with a fierce pinkish head that almost disappeared completely. Aroma is sweet fruit with a special sourness. Good sour flavours, countered by somewhat artificial sweetness and wood. Fruit is quite prominent. Good carbonation, long aftertaste. An interesting attempt at a kriek- with its good sourness it is probably best placed in the oud bruin category. Not so happy about the artificial sweetness, but it does not completely destroy a good beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 lachesis (758) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2006
At the Kulminator. Pours a dirty orange-pink coloured beer with a pink head disappearing in seconds. Aroma is slight oxidized and has touches of stuffed cherries, wood, muchrooms and some cinnamon. The taste is wine likle (Old wine) cloves, wood and oxidized fruit pulp.
Light boddied and a very watery texture. Only finiched 1/2 of the glass.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Papsoe (22983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle) Very beautiful clear and pronounced red beer, with a sediment that sticks to the bottom of the bottle and a slightly rosy head, that descends flat and creamy. The beer is quite dry. The cherries are obvious, but doesn’t add sweetness, more sourness. The base-beer is probably a blond ale. 191004
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2004
Bottled. Cherry red. Bigaroon aroma. Medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Juicy flavour of bigaroon (not at all the typical cherry flavour you’ll find in most Belgian kriekbiers), some lighl acidity and some sweetness. Unlike the other beers I had from t’Gaverhopke it doesn’t really take off.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JorisPPattyn (6736) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 12, 2004
Totally hazy pale rosy-to peach colour, foaming but no head except for slim white lines across the surface. Good cherry nose, fruity, sourish. Tart taste, full fruitiness, slightly lactic, earthy, farmyard, but nothing extreme - good! Medium bodied - exactly right for a fruit beer. Excellent fruitbeer. maybe just a bit too much fruit and too little beer. He ought to make (much) more of this, cause this is very rare and hard to find.
