Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium amber colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, acidic berries, wood notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a average to long duration, bread, berry tart, caramel, malty, dry. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. Hidding a ABV of 12% very well ;O) [20110728]

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Foggy brown pour. Rich bread and old brown sugar in the nose. Sweet, slightly tart flavor, nice sugar notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Slight tart finish, some grassy bitterness. Alright.

330ml bottle. Best before September 2012. Tawny colour. Thin off-white head. Slightly woody aroma. Some signs of oxidation. Tart fruit on the palate. A little sour edge on the finish. Doesn’t seem anything like 12%. Surprisingly drinkable.

Cloudy brown beer. Dry palate. Sour but not overly so. Sour orange and a hint of lemon. Just a little spice. A sweet note on the front of the tongue. Hides the alcohol incredibly well - is this really 12.0%??

330 ml bottle. Medium to dark bown with lots of red and lots of floaties. A slight lacy head. Tangy, sour aroma of green apples, cherry, dust, a bit of barnyard and chocolate. Sweet-and-sour flavor of chocolate, caramel, cherries, green apples, and dusty mold form an old oak barrel. Dry finish with sour tang. Smooth body, not very heavy. Something like a very strong Flanders red, but I can’t help thinking it is also infected. Decent stuff, though not exactly right on. Alcohol completely hidden.
