Pours an orange slightly unclear beer with a good white head. Smells fruity, orange and citrus. Tastes nice. Some tones of burn/smoke, orange and citrus. Average carbo, medium body and a dry texture. Finishes bitter and long.

Van alle bieren dat ik geprobeerd heb van Gaverhopke is dit de slechtste. Absoluut mijn smaak niet.

Alengrin (1294) - BELGIUM - JUL 31, 2014
Collaboration brew described as íBelgian ale / double IPAí, so apparently a deliberate attempt to joint the best of both worlds. Irregular, dirty yellowish, stable head and cloudy orange blonde colour with a haze of floating yeast particles. Powerful aroma of freshly cut orange, tonic water, candied pineapple, candi sugar, ginger, straw, tomato; taste begins with a fresh ícitrusnessí paired with a somewhat strange sweet touch (honey?), crispy and nicely rounded, smooth mouthfeel, strong carbonation even tiring the tongue a bit, leading to a herbal hop bitterness of an aromatic and floral nature, so not too agressive, while the orange-sweetness from the onset also lingers on way deep into the finish. Unfortunately the finish is also dominated by an astringent alcohol burn, practically ruining what would otherwise be a great beer.

This was a bottle there was stored room temperature for a couple years and didn't fare so well. Aroma was okay with bread dough yeast and hops. Appearance is so so cloudy with a smallish thick head & a little lace. Flavor is where the problem lies as it seems to of been turning it's getting tart and it's not too bad but it's not the way it should be. Body would be just about average and it's not very easy drinking beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and a little soft. Mild fine carbonation. Semi dry. Smooth airy malts with a trace of creamy caramel. Mild hop spice. Little floralness. Dry sweetish pine. Airy dry finish. Lacks a bit of cohesion but all right.

Bottle. Pours weíll carbonated orange golden with clear white head. Aroma is butt stank, caramel, barley wine, wood, and rust. Grape juice, caramel corn, brittle, and sweet wood are the flavors. Not a fan of this but itís ancient as fuck.

Bottle shared at Proof. Dirty pale yellow pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus hops, potpourri and dish soap. Flavor is very soapy and weird. I spit this out.
