330 ml bottle, when opened it foamed. It poured cloudy and golden with a thick head. Aroma was sweet and fruity with a hint of ripe fruits. Taste is of grass and citrus. A long finish. Overall average strong ale.

Appearance: opaque orange with golden edges; short, fizzy bright white head that quickly vanishes, leaving a thin collar and smattering of bubbles. Aroma: white wine, champagne, green apples, banana, grapefruit, pineapple, marmalade. Taste: sour and funky, with citrus, tart green apples, a hint of honey, hint of gym socks, lemon zest. Finish: very tart and dry, to the point where my throat constricts, only to be loosened by a slow-building and subtle (for a 10% beer) alcohol burn. Notes: Interesting. Almost like a the sour, tart Petrus Aged Pale Ale mixed with a Gulden Draak or something. A little more sour and tart than expected, but not terrible.

330ml bottle from Good Beer. Pours a clear, dark golden color with a minimal effervescent white head that dissapates quickly. Aroma of sweet malts, light sourness, and some spicy and yeasty notes. Taste is light honey, bread, sweet fruit (apples and grapes) with some sour notes that are part vinous and part vinegar. Sweet fruity malty finish with touches of honey and lemon. A bit too sweet.

Bottle at home. Clear golden pour, no head. Aroma of sour apple, some alcoholic malty sugars and slightly dusty. Flavor is sweetish, spicy, alcoholic, some cider and murky sourness. Quite off balance and too strong. Almost like a malt liquor. Not my kind of brew.

Hazy dark blond colour. Fruity nose, bitter beer with sour hints. Notes of unripe fruit.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy light straw color with a thin white head of foam. Aroma is lightly floral, estery, and somewhat bretty. Taste has a light, fizzy tartness, somewhat like orval. There’s some sweetness to even things out. I really enjoyed this beer. I could see myself getting it again.

MadRobin (1940) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Poured from 330 ml bottle after cellaring for 9 months. Cloudy bright amber with a lot of sediment, both suspended and collected at the bottom. The bottle erupted foam immediately and continued to spew until poured into a glass. Once in the glass, it yielded a 2-finger creamy-yellow head and fairly good lacing. Aroma of lemon, apple cider, yeast, light bread and sour grapes. Taste of yeast, spice, sour light fruit, cherry, grapes, pears and apple cider just when it's started to turn. Light/medium body and high/medium carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A hazy, lively strong blond ale with sweetness getting checked by an acidic tang. Very interesting and leaving me to fervently hope that they did it like that on purpose. Nose of honey, lemon and not-quite-ripe pineapple. Acidity leaves it dangerous and drinkable at that absurd strength.

On tap at BBF. Amber with white head. Fruit and yeast aromas. Fruity and sweet taste. A little acid.

33cl bottle. Hazy yellow with small head. Nose : apricot, banana, apple and pear. Tart and spices. Orange peel. Sip : thick and smooth, tingling carbonation. Sweet like a fanta. Esters are really fruity. It got tart flavour with jelly and fruits. Short finish. Strong alcohol content is well hidden but the beer is heavy to drink.
