Bottle. Pours cludy orange with a medium off white head. The aroma is yogurt, oranges, yeast, sweet caramel, fruit and acid. The flavour is an intense mix of citrus, sweet oranges, spices, light acid, sweet malt and yeast. Long oranges juice like finish.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Light sour malty flavor with a lingering finish.

Pour is a hazy orange with a fast dissapearing white head. Aroma is sugary sweet with some honey and citrus. Flavor is over the top sweet with some sour apple. Finish leaves some butterscotch on the tounge. This is a wierd beer and the sweetness drags this one down. The 9.8% is no where.

11.2 oz bottle into a tulip at Hopleaf...The beer pours a nice medium honey gold with tons of carbonation. At least fourt fingers of creamy thick head, had to pour three times...Great retention, as it falls, falls in chunks, nice lacing...The aroma is all yeast, a little honey, pepper, very similar to Duvel with that tingly yeast on the nose....Taste is light, but very sweet honey dominates. Not any of the yeasty. This is crazy easy to drink at 10%, I basically chugged it. A little sweet for my taste but good overall.

11.2oz grenade bottle. Opaque, unfiltered orange-tan. Thin, patchy, oily head. I get a a fruity tone in the aroma foreign to most beers, almost candied strawberry banana. Quite a nice beer, relatively mellow mouthfeel, some delicate carbonation. Somewhere between a Tripel, Golden Ale, but with those fruity tones in the taste as well that really mellow it out. Almost like Imperial Cider, with the alcohol laced green apple notes. Interesting, unique beer.

Sampled at the Stillwater tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits last month. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Smells sweet and syrupy, but there is some tart fruit and a little baby puke in there too. Flavor starts malty and a bit syrupy, then some tartness shows up before a musty and somewhat thin finish.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts strong, modest alcoholic, a bit sourish. Fruity notes of lemon. Finish still a bit alcoholic, but still nicely fruity. Not bad!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Frank (2188) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 15, 2011
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2011 This was a gusher for me. Normally, I’d be upset but it did fill my house w/ a nice fruity yeasty smell. Not bad. Naturally, it poured quite a cloudy blond orange w/ an huge foamy head which slowly sank down to a lasting quarter inch. The nose, as I mentioned is quite fruity, juicy banana w/ an edge of green apple tartness. Normally, I expect gushers to be flat but the mouthfeel on this is downright creamy. Full bodied but pillowy w/o being syrupy or oily. This a hefty beer, clocking in at nearly ten percent alcohol, but it is super drinkable w/o being disappointingly light in flavor. After expecting to be let down w/ a flat and sour beer, this turned out the be very nice.
