3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A.K.A. Singing Blond.
Pours a fogged in orange gold with a thin creme head. Mild sour nose. Fruit is also there. At first when I poured it I wanted to say it was apricots. But alas we have moved on to minor funk. Flavor is superb. Smooth. Mature fruit tones and sweetness. A slightly firm acidity barely appears. Minor funky. Itís all mixed and mashed together beautifully though and seems to go funky on my mouth one time and then fruity the next. Just clings to the next bit of character and you get a real smooth ride of flavor. Feel has a carbonation that bites too much at the tongue, but it isnít enough to interfere with the flavor. Damn. This is good. I mean, really good.

Blonde ale since 2009, referring to Mrs. Vandoorne who took over the brewery the year before. Snow white, creamy head, old gold colour with orangey glow, clear with fierce sparkling. Aroma of honey, young cheese, peach, butter, pineapple, caramel, apricot; sweetish taste, subdued fruitiness, applish and somewhat honeyish, supple and soft mouthfeel, flowery hops in the finish but not enough bitter to balance out the initial sweetness.

Het minste van alle bieren van het gaverhopke dat ik al geprobeerd heb. Niet veel smaak aan.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy light golden color with small white soapy head. Nose is fruity with aromas of yeast and malt. Taste is sweet with flavours of bubblegum and a very light bitterness. Light bready aftertaste. For a 9,5 % tripel beer, this one drinks dangerously easy. I like it!

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 12/2014. Highly carbonated gusher upon opening. Pours murky bright orange color with a 3 finger fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, candi sugar, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light pale malt notes; with good strength. Very bright aromas. Taste of big lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, candi sugar, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, candi sugar, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Nicely dry finish. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light pale malt flavors; with a great crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and foamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Belgian strong pale ale. All around great complexity and balance of bright fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and light pale malt flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to sip on for the high ABV. With the combination of the difficult over carbonated pour and murky appearance, I was expecting this to taste old and malty; but it tasted spot on. A very enjoyable offering.
