3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JorisPPattyn (6736) - Antwerpen, - OCT 23, 2008
Gushing to rather small, off-white head over slightly hazy orange-yellow beer with a faint mossy shine. Perfumed, vanilla, soapy, faint spicy & herbal,. Little, hidden point of vinegar. Sourish-sweet taste, with old honey, honingbollen , slightly oxydized grain, speciality grains. Jumble of flavours, not coherent. Sticky MF, as if there’s really honey in there, partially fermented. Alcohol remains pretty well hidden, restsugars abound; well-carbonated. I wonder about the honey. Problem is, if I can dig honey, I’ve always abhorred the taste of honingbollen (honeysweets). Even in beer, ’t would seem.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sebletitje (4413) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAY 18, 2012
33cl bottle.

Aroma of sour grape, perfume, wheat and slight funk. Pours light murky orange with beautiful head. Tastes sweet of bread, slight citrus funk, and wheat. A little abraisive but tasty.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 corby112 (1904) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Pours a hazy, dark golden yellow color with a half finger white foam head that quickly settles into a lastig ring. Sporadic spots of lace left behind.
Sweet ester-y fruit aroma with some zesty spice, subtle hops and alcohol. Crisp fruit notes, notably apple, pear and grape countered by floral/piney hops and peppery spice.
Medium bodies with a slight creamy texture and some sort carbonation up front followed by a prominent yeast presence that gives off hints of crisp, light fruit. There’s also some zesty spice with hints of pepper and clove followed by some earthy hops and alcohol sweetness that lingers into a slight dry finish.

Bottle @ home. Clear yellow / golden color, average sized white head. Smell malts, gains, yeast, slightly sweet-sourish. Taste malts and somewhat sourish. Carbo & body medium.

Yellow golden coloured beer, lots of fruits, sour and sweetness combined. Bottle was overtime. Need to retaste. Reminds me of some other kind of beer.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 jodah52 (206) - Michigan, USA - DEC 17, 2011
Pours hazy, large head with large bubbles. Aroma of malt and hops is light but present, clean and fresh. But a sour ale aroma predominates, lambic-like, with aromas of wood and a bit of hay. Sour flavor makes this beer crisp-tasting, while strong carbonation minimizes the usual harsh mouthfeel associated with sour beers. This bottle was probably fairly old, as most reviews don’t find it to be as sour as I did; it was, however, quite nice at this age, like a tripel crossed with a lambic.

Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, highly alcoholic, with a nice hop bite to it. I expected more hop action.
