2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
50 cL bottle. Pours deep dark brown to black with a shortlived and light brown head. Aroma is roasted caramel malt and lending towards dark breadish. Flavour is mild acidic with a rather unrefined breadish malt flavour. Some traces of chocolate too. A bit thin in flavour and texture, quite solid on the bitterness and acidic notes from the roasted malt - al sweetness and body to give a great stout is not there. Ends bitter and acidic with a lasting hardroasted malt note into the far finish.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(On tap) Opaque black with a creamy, beige head (nitrogen?) that leaves broad curtains of pretty laces. Tart and fruity aroma. Medium body with dry burned malt, metal and a massive, fruity acidity that suggests an unfortunate infection. Some malt bitterness but even the finish is dominated by acidity. The acidity adds a certain freshness that is not completely hopeless, but I’m pretty sure it’s not really intended and that this is just an infected Stout. Badly infected. 120708
