COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

Bottle. Pour is the definition of amber with a gauzy off-white head. Lots of malt on the nose, with additional metallic and mild floral/fruity notes. First taste is all a complex malt and caramel bomb, with the alcohol showing surprisingly much. Bit of a burn. This is a solid Biere de Garde, but it feels more intense than it needs to be.

Oh, we have a gusher!!! as soon as i popped the cap, it came gushing out. Very dark brown pour with a very large ample head. aroma is sharp, and odd, its a sour like metallic aroma, with loads a diacetly. The flavour is also odd, more diacetyl, and some off sour fruity notes, wow, this iis all over the place, and not very enjoyable, its leaving a nasty sickly sweet aftertaste in my mouth, there is some sweet malt, but its being dominated by all the odd nasty flavours, wow, i dont like this at all.

Pours a slightly hazy copper with a small layer of foam and some minimal lace. Aroma of pennies, diacetyl, and amber malt. Tastes oddly sweet - almost sickeningly so at first, but then the hops kick in and attempt to balance the finish. Lots of diacetyl, some alcohol. Thin creamy body, low carb. Not a fan.

Sweet malt hop aroma with flowers. Cloudy dark red colour with great head and lacing. Malt spice hop flavour with sweet flowers. Fizzy palate.

Bottled. Slightly hazy orange-brown coloured, beautiful lasting brown head. Malty and spicy nose, some fruit, nice. Malty flavour, some herbal notes, dry finish. A few seconds after swallowing the alcohol kicks in. Nice brew, might improve with aging i think.

Bottle, from Noel Cuveliers, Abele. Warm copper, beautiful mountains of thick sticky butter-colored foam. Aroma is a very difficult thing to dissect. Amost more of a mood or a place than components: a field of sweet peas, just coming up: a cold wet spring day. Big foamy carbonation, under which gentle flavors make mild-mannered appearances. A nice Munich malt touch, herbal, noble hops, lingering grass. Exceedingly light and delicate for the abv--so drinkable and restrained.

ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 16, 2008
Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with lively large white foam. Dryish aroma of nuts, yeast, immature red berries, wood, honey and herbs. medium-bodied with notes of toasted malts, yeast, berries, wood, grass, nut-shells and anise. long dryish and yeasty finish with touches of red berries, spices and bread. Nice one, intriguing and well-balanced.

Bottle 33 cl. from Van Uxeem. Amber color, with beige head. Aroma caramel, sweet, fruits, malts. Medium body. Taste some spice, caramel, sweet, malts. Not bad.
