COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

This thing is bottled up like it contains the elixer of life itself...rediculous. Pours red-copper with a moderate off-white head and tenacious lacing. Nose isn’t particularly great, with generic malt, herbs, light hops, and a touch of skunk. Flavor is both sweet and a little sour and again herbal with light bitterness. Very uniform. Finish is bland and sticky. This is nowhere near worth the effort or the price.

Courtesy of ekstedt. Pours clear amber with a great creamy beige head leaving lace. Aroma is dry, hay, makty, fruity and a bit soapy. Flavor is malty, spicy, phenolic, alcohol, a bit pungent and bitter. Finishes malty bitter and dry.

Flaske: Orange øl med et lille skumhoved. Duften er let gæret med en del alkohol. Smagen er igen let alkoholiseret. Ikke så fantastisk øl.
