COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

Bouteille de 750, bouche de liège. Bière ambrée-cuivrée avec une mousse blanche cassée. De grosses bulles se forment à la surface mais disparaisse aussi tôt. Nez d’équilibre entre le caramel et les épices. Une touche de houblon est perceptible. La bouche est mordante avec des épices, beaucoup d’épices et du houblon de qualité. L’alcool est quelque peu présent.

Bottle @ home. Hazy, burnt orange appearance with a big, foamy orange/tan head. Belgian yeast, sweet orange/mango, and light dust in the nose. Pretty sweet, Belgian yeasty, slightly spicy, a touch bitter flavor. Mostly yeasty, fruity finish with a touch of dust and bitterness.

Bottle @ Hotelroom, Denver. Pours slighly hazy amber with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is caramel, yeast, pepper or spices, some fruit. Taste is caramel, fruit, sugar , light spicyness. Medium body, middle carbonation. Not bad. 070411

Bière sur lie légèrement trouble, presque claire, couleur de cuivre sous un abondant col blanc et aérien. Des arômes capiteux de fruits confits, de céréales grillées et d’alcool. Franche amertûme et une pointe d’acidité. Fine effervescence constante. Finale légèrement amère.

Bottle. Huge tan head over a clear red-amber body. Excellent lacing. Aroma-taste of brown sugar, dried fruit, leather, a hint of spices balanced, with a slightly metallic-minerally finish. Light to medium bodied.
