COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

Amber pour with frothy white head. Fruity nose, hints of strawberry. Little tart but not much flavor. Maybe a little malt, little else. OK.

Orange, cloudy, bubbly, small light tan head. Aroma hay, caramel, yeast. Medium body, carbonated, hardly any alcohol. Flavor is sweet. Malty caramel, candy-like, esters. Hint of citrus. Syrupy. Not bad, but not great balance, needed either a little more bitterness or acidity.

Cloudy brownish red color with a quickly subsiding off-white head. Aroma of raw almonds and brown sugar. Dark candy sugar flavors and malty sweetness coat the palate. Just enough bittering hops to keep it interesting.

Bouteille 330ml.

Cheers!

Average beer. Good- looking dark amber with fine carbonation and thick beige head, but not much depth of flavor. Too sweet to be sessionable. Better to share a 750mL than to drink solo.

Bottle (750 ml) probably 1 - 1½ year old. Hazy amber with a medium creamy off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of candi sugar, malt and alcohol. Taste is moderately sweet with malt, candi sugar, fruits and alcohol. Medium body. Pretty simple brew but really well-balanced, easy to drink and thirst quenching.

Bouteille 750ml. Carbonation faible, corps moyen.
