COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

The malts in this beer give it an aroma and flavor of dark red fruits. Sweet and flavorful.

11.2oz bottle, shared by Jay. Labeled "French Red Ale". Code on back reads "1522". Clear red - orange color. Thin off-white head. Little ropes of lace. Medium to bigger body. Softer carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Nice clean malty, lightly spicy flavor. Interesting, unique, pretty tasty malt profile. Lightly sweet taste, nice light spiciness. Alcohol is well hidden. This seems like it’d be a delicious beer to enjoy with a meal. I liked this more than I expected to... It grew on me as I sipped it

Bouteille: Copper coloured, a bit unclear, big and stable loose off-white head, fruity-caramelly nose (almost a bit vinous) with a robust boppy counterpart; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; bisquity-honeyish finish balanced by distinctive hops and followed by a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Nice brew...

Bottle from kegs & barrels Plano, TX. Pours a deep copper with a medium white head. The aromas are malt, bread, bubblegum. The mouthfeel is watery and slightly dry with a medium body and good carbonation. Not a bad beer at all. Cheers!

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear bronze with a fluffy beige head that sticks around and leaves good lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas of peach, caramel, stewed apple and cinnamon. The taste starts out with some deep fruit before a hit of hop bitterness in the mid-palate. That slips away leaving some caramel sweetness. Finishes quite cleanly with some citrus and spice in the aftertaste. Excellent.

solidfunk (1820) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2013
Pours dark with some cloudiness. Tastes good for style. Aroma of caramelized malt and sugar with some dark fruit. Good overall beer. Finishes sweet with caramel. Some basement barrel, but very much like a dark Belgian strong. Bottle from Steamworks.

Corked bottle from Market Square liquors. Deep orange pour with a huge fluffy off-white head that takes forever to dissipate. Aroma is sweet caramel, yeast, citrus and pepper. Tastes are along the same lines with a light background tartness. Also dark fruit and bready. Medium slick palate. Interesting.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Hazy orangish brown with full off-white head. Aroma of molasses, bready malt, dark fruits - figs, plum. Light taste, a little flat. Caramel and sweet roasted malts. A little lacking on the finish.

Bottled. Poured light-medium orange with a dense, creamy beige head.. looked very good. The aroma picked up toasted redder fruits, caramel, and molasses with earthy and herbal yeasty accents.. a touch cheesy as it warmed up.. I enjoyed it. The flavor found fruity notes, molasses, and caramel at the core with prickly black pepper and earthy yeast around.. finished semi-sweet with a nice spicy kicker. Medium-bodied, tangy, and engaging on the palate.. smooth carbonation on the middle where it needed it.. good feel and flow. Nice one.
