COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

This thing is bottled up like it contains the elixer of life itself...rediculous. Pours red-copper with a moderate off-white head and tenacious lacing. Nose isn’t particularly great, with generic malt, herbs, light hops, and a touch of skunk. Flavor is both sweet and a little sour and again herbal with light bitterness. Very uniform. Finish is bland and sticky. This is nowhere near worth the effort or the price.

Pours a clear orange red color with and off white head. Aroma is hoppy and some caramel. Falvors is again hoppy and caramel, with a hint of dry fruits and of yeast. Good carbonation, with a light bitter finish.

Cloudy brick red pour with a thick, lasting off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Sweet, with a nice caramel/toffee flavour, finishes with very low bitterness, alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Big white head. Strong aroma. Scipy but still sweet aroma, a good signs of whats to come. Taste is similar, spicy with hints of citrus and yeast. Nice smooth finish. Alcohol is barely noticeable. A good one.

Dark reddish color, slightly cloudy; big, off-white head. Alcohol, caramel, and a fruity touch in the aroma. I found it rather monodimensional... syrupy maltiness, and just a slight tarty note in the finish. Full bodied. Alcohol is a bit too evident.

11.2 oz bottle, Pours clear copper w/ a huge foamy head, aroma is caramel and rum w/ some sour notes, flavor is smooth and malty w/ only a slightly sour finish, strong, not altogether pleasant, metallic flavor on back end, promising but metallic flavor taints the experience

Complex medicinal aroma, some peat?!? some wood... finish has hints of candy... simple sweet taste, quite bland... it lacks body though, pretty watery...

Cloudy brownish red color with a quickly subsiding off-white head. Aroma of raw almonds and brown sugar. Dark candy sugar flavors and malty sweetness coat the palate. Just enough bittering hops to keep it interesting.

Pours a nice amber with a huge frothy white head that leaves ample lacing; marmalade and spice on the nose; firm malt backbone with a stone fruit finish. Nice.
