COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
Gavroche was a generous and rebellious Paris urchin and a character in the Victor Hugo (1802-1885) novel “Les Misérables.” It is also a strong, amber beer, where the flavour of its top-fermentation yeast combines perfectly with the taste of the special malts. Fermented again in the bottle, the Gavroche beer should be served with care between 10 and 12°C.

bottle pours hazy amber with full beige head . aroma is caramel , dark fruit and yeast . fully carbonated with rich mouthfeel . taste is heavy sweet to start like the aroma but then a pleasant light sour bitterness emerges that cleanses the palate to leave a juicy refreshing aftertaste . Quite enjoyable

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear bronze with a fluffy beige head that sticks around and leaves good lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas of peach, caramel, stewed apple and cinnamon. The taste starts out with some deep fruit before a hit of hop bitterness in the mid-palate. That slips away leaving some caramel sweetness. Finishes quite cleanly with some citrus and spice in the aftertaste. Excellent.

Évaluation no. 104 - Juillet 2011. Au nez, de légers houblons et de subtils caramels. La couleur est cuivrée et floue. La mousse est abondante et très persistante. L’attaque est assez houblonnée avec des notes légères de caramel. Combinaison alcool et acidité très défini. Rappelle les lambics.

Bottle. Huge tan head over a clear red-amber body. Excellent lacing. Aroma-taste of brown sugar, dried fruit, leather, a hint of spices balanced, with a slightly metallic-minerally finish. Light to medium bodied.

Cloudy brick red pour with a thick, lasting off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Sweet, with a nice caramel/toffee flavour, finishes with very low bitterness, alcohol warmth.

Clear amber color with minimal white head. Sweet bready, malty, aroma with hints of dried fruits (dates, raisins, cherries). Strong acidic fruit flavors with malt and a bit of bitterness in the finish. Decently carbonated, fairly soft mouthfeel. Pretty good stuff.

Complex medicinal aroma, some peat?!? some wood... finish has hints of candy... simple sweet taste, quite bland... it lacks body though, pretty watery...

Thick head. Strong carbonation which keeps the beer light and fresh. Full bodied. Complex flavours. Brioche, toffee apple, earthy, champagne finish. I want some more please.

My first French ale, surprisingly good. Nice combination of malt and yeast flavors. It was easy to drink
