Bottle. 11.2 fl. oz. Slightly hazy, ruby color with nice, silky cream-colored head. Excellent lacing and longevity. Aromas of fruit, vanilla, caramel, and light alcohol. Medium bodied with a smooth texture and light, dry finish. Flavor is fairly sweet and fruity all the through with a faint bitterness. Smoothes out nicely as it warms.

Bottle from whip in flower mound. Poured deep amber with a white head that didn’t fade. Aroma was citrus, caramel, peach, and red Apple. Flavor was much the same plus a slight hop bite at the end. Body was light and fuzzy.

Cloudy yellow. French yeast in the aroma and flavor, which gives a light spice quality as well. Dry malt in the finish.

Pours a beautiful golden amber with tons of head. Smells like a french bakery. Very nice. Some booze on the nose as well. Sweet bread on the palate, brandy as well. Will buy another bottle to age..and expect it to taste even better.

This had a very lively head, foamy and active. I couldn’t smell very much, but this was not an aged bottle. Taste was pleasant but not very strong and maybe lacked depth. I enjoyed it, though.

Amber colour with white head. I had this quite young, so maybe it needs to age. Flavour is bready, yeasty, some fruit, kind of metallic, though. Okay.

750 ml corked bottle with that nifty french BdG metal clasp; clear, dark amber with thick light tan head; aroma mix of sweet honey and lemons mixed with an almost light cherry syrup and stale malt; first sip has an off-putting bitterness and astringency; crisp mouthfeel with some mild fruity and stale hay flavors; stale raspberry honey with sole husky grain notes; not digging this BdG interpretation too much
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cmonster (683) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 14, 2012
Bottle served in a tulip. The active yeast urges the foam out of the bottle even before I had a chance to put it in the glass. Pours murky amber-brown with a short head that stays on top as a thin film. Medium sweet aroma of multiple dark fruits, toffee, soy, and bread. The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma suggests. Medium body, thick-oily texture, fizzy carbonation, and a somewhat fruity, moderately dry finish.
